A Proven Leader for San Rafael
Since being elected your Mayor in 2020 (and the first woman Mayor since the City was incorporated in 1874), we have worked together to tackle local issues. In the past 4 years, I have seen and I share your deep caring and engagement in making our city the best it can be. Here in San Rafael, we are big enough to have complex societal issues but small and nimble enough to implement bold initiatives. I am proud of the work we do locally and I recognize that it’s also important to see what cities are doing across the nation. This past spring, I was one of only 7 mayors in the United States to be selected for the distinguished Mayor’s Institute on City Design’s “Just City Mayoral Fellowship” through the U.S. Conference of Mayors and Harvard Graduate School of Design. Now that I have completed this prestigious Mayoral Fellowship, I am bringing back big ideas that we can implement in our community to create a more just and righteous city for all.
Looking ahead, I am focusing on implementing initiatives and taking action to address the issues about which you care the most. The most successful way to do that is to stay connected to you and bring in a broad spectrum of voices into the dialogue. It would be my honor and privilege to serve as your Mayor for another term as we still have much to do. Please support my re-election campaign and let’s continue this important work.
